Kid's Beanies Mastermind has been played 2 times this month.
Did you know that it all began with a paper and pencil game?
The 'Beanies MasterMind' Flash game is inspired by the classic board game Mastermind (Master Mind), but even that classic is actually based on something else, and that is a simple paper and pencil game. The game was called Bulls & Cows and it was played with numbers instead of colors.
For instance, the first player's secret code is 3248. (The digits within the secret code had to be all different.) The second player makes the first guess and says '1284'. The first player then gives the answer 'One bull and two cows". Translated into Mastermind terminology that would mean one black peg and two white ones.
Cool concept, obviously. Is it surprising that the title MasterMind was more appealing? Nope.
Guess the secret code the computer has created by using simple logics.
The code is a combination of maximum 6 colors: red, yellow, green, tuquoise, blue and pink.
The same color can repeat multiple times within the code.
After you have created a guess click the "Check it" button. The computer will then score your guess with black and white pegs.
A white peg means that one of the Beanies (its color) is correct but it is in the wrong position. A black peg means the color of the Beany is correct AND it is in the right position.
Attention The placement of the black & white scoring pegs does NOT indicate the order of the guessed colors. You have to figure that out for yourself.
